Flat plans & rationale

I have chosen to lay out my front cover like this as it looks professional and clear for the reader. I have put the sell lines at the sides of the photograph but will be going over part of it so that you can still see the photograph clearly but so all the sell lines are not in separate boxes as this could make the cover less exciting and too orderly. The colour scheme i will use is blue, green and white as this links with the title of the magazine "fresh" these three colours are fresh, clean colours and are unisex as it will be both boys and girls that read this magazine. the bar code will be at the bottom to keep it out of the way of all the information and images. The font will be bold and clear so its easy to read from a distance and eye catching! The date and issue number are at the top of the page along with a bold large title so that the reader knows when it was written and to identify the magazine.

I have laid out my contents page in blocks as it makes it clear and more organised for the reader. For example " every issue" this separates certain pages from the rest so that if the reader enjoys that page every week its quick and simple to find what page its on. i have laid out photographs so that they catch the eye of the reader but so that there is still enough space to write whats in that issue on what page etc.
